Women's Weekend Retreat - Soul Nourish Retreats Spring Mountain Yoga Retreat - Atlanta, GA, Dahlonega, GA, Asheville NC

OUR INVITATION TO YOU

A practice-based inner work retreat with John Luckovich and Shari L Fox

On this three-day retreat in the North Georgia Mountains we will explore the Instinctual Drives—Self-Preservation, Sexual and Social—in life and formal practice with brand-new insights drawn from psychology, biology and inner work. We will unpack what it means to live our transformation and respond to both the “animal” in our instincts and the “angel” within us. Essential in our efforts for growth and transformation is how these parts meet and support one another—and how this impacts and opens the real heart.

This all-inclusive retreat program is experiential with a schedule full of small group exercises, meditation, inquiry practice, movement, and breathwork as well as time to rest in nature.

This practice-based retreat is a dive into embodying the intelligence of the instinctual energies on a transformational level.

Our Instinctual Drives have an enormous impact on our psychology, our behavior, our feelings and our values. Instincts have long been an area of great study and work within numerous spiritual traditions whose aim has been understanding how to reconcile the spiritual nature and the animal nature in a human being.

“John’s groundbreaking teaching in truly understanding the instincts and identifying the approaches of each instinct is like the missing piece of the puzzle. I had been working with my stack for about two years, but he gave me what I had long been waiting for—a comprehensive and innovative understanding of the instincts that was honestly kind of mind-blowing. With the framework of what each instinct is truly about, I could see where I was undermining myself. Everything I learned that day continued to marinate for weeks after, and I continue to have new realizations.”Rebecca, 2016 workshop participant
“Shari has a superb ability to ask exactly the right question at the right moment, in a way that helps me see what’s going on beneath the surface. She is dedicated to the truth, presence, and what’s real, and her insights and teachings always help me contact my Essence and listen to it. I love the way she blends movement and meditation with the Enneagram for a truly unique experience.”2016 retreat participant

EMBODYING PRESENCE
THROUGH THE INSTINCTS + THE ENNEAGRAM

MAY 19-21, 2017

ELOHEE RETREAT CENTER
{ GA, USA }

Our spiritual transformation happens in life, not separate from it.

The needs and drives of the body are powerful and intense, rooted in our personal survival and the survival of our species. Without presence, the instinctual energies become confused with the insecurities of the personality and those fears end up running our lives.

The instincts are one of the most powerful means available for deepening our inner work and presence. When we can make real contact with our instinctual drives, learn to honor them, and understand the vital role they play in our Being, we can bring them into alignment with our true self.

JOHN

John Luckovich, Breathworker, Enneagram Facilitator & Artist

John’s view of the Enneagram is more than a model of Personality–it is a deep dive into what motivates us, what we really care about, and what our hearts long for.

In his workshops, you’ll experience how the power of the Enneagram extends far beyond simply knowing the Personality Types. You’ll have a doorway for ever-deepening insight into yourself, other people, and your relationships, inviting more curiosity, compassion, and embodiment.

John Luckovich has been involved in studies of the Enneagram and inner work and practice for over ten years, and is completing teaching certification with the Enneagram Institute. His interests have led to a deep involvement in Gurdjieff and meditation practice, and he is an apprentice psycho-spiritual facilitator in Integrative Breathwork through the Inspiration Consciousness School in Baltimore, MD, where he has been studying for five years. John has taught numerous Enneagram workshops and classes in the United States and Italy for children, teens, and adults.

“I was struck by the deep compassion John has for humans and our inner growth work. I often feel embarrassed and that being self-pres dominant is bad or something I have to overcome, but in John’s workshop I felt seen, and validated, that I could see the humor in my struggles, and that inner work can come from a place of deep love for oneself and humanity.  I appreciated the vulnerability, kindness, and humor in his teaching style.”2016 workshop participant
“Shari teaches a skill that is essential to the core of our very being. Thank you for sharing your love, support and kindness. Thank you, too, for the multi-pronged approach: experiential, theoretical, reflective, scientific, spiritual and interactive. I appreciate the breadth and depth.”Sara, 2015 Workshop participant

The Enneagram one of the most powerful tools to directly access and understand our self and our quality of presence impartially. Learning how to understand and directly sense our authentic instinctual needs and how we habitually approach those needs allows us to free ourselves from a great deal of unnecessary suffering.

Here, you will feel supported in exploring and sharing personal real-time experience with an emphasis on how this material is practically lived and leveraged for transformation. You will be guided through sensation-based exercises that evoke the power, immediacy, and spaciousness that being in touch with our instinctual energies brings about. This retreat is for those with a basis in spiritual practice who have a sincere curiosity for new ideas and new perspectives. Join us as we co-create conditions of intention, mutual support and presence to learn more about what it means to be vibrantly human.
